Betsy Anderson Gilman

Betsy Anderson Gilman is the 2014 World Barefoot Championship Silver medalist in Ladies Jump and the 2010/2014 World Barefoot Championship Ladies Tricks Bronze Medalist. Betsy  first learned to waterski at 5 years old and tried for years to teach herself how to barefoot. Ryan “Ryno” Gilman

Ryan Gilman is new to the team but has become a regular on Lake Lanier.  Ryan learned to barefoot at 16 from his father, the legendary Byron Gilman of Green Lake, Minnesota.   Ryan, Byron and Ryan’s brother Nate developed quite a barefooting cult on the lake and were often out on the lake at 7am to take on the slalom skiers on the lake.

Al Posada

“Peg Leg” – Mens 4 Competitor My family lived in the Bay Area of San Francisco when I was young and I learned to waterski at Lake Tahoe in 1962 while camping every summer with family and friends. We moved to Vero Beach, Florida where we were surrounded by water. I loved surfing, sailing and all watersports and met the now famous Canadian barefooter, Jim Drown. Learned to slalom with my wife, Eileen, and friends around 1973 on the beautiful Indian River. I moved to Georgia with Eileen and our kids, Monica and Mauricio, in 1984...
